16 to 17 Mar 24 – Skin Medical Camp

A special Skin Medical Camp took place at Jagadguru Kripalu Chikitsalaya, Mangarh, Pratapgarh.  This important camp has been taking place regularly due to the many numbers of skin issues being diagnosed in the community here.  Our medical experts in dermatology were once again at JKC Mangarh to help these patients get the best possible treatment as soon as possible.

We met some patients and spoke to them.  A little boy (aged 7) named Abhay came to see the doctors with vitiligo vulgaris.  His mother told us that he cannot sleep well at night due to extreme itching.  She brought the child to one of our Doctors.  His mother was pleased that he got free treatment at our camp and would soon find relief from his itch.

A total of 487 patients were given specialised medical care during this camp.

The auspicious main day of Holi was celebrated on 25 March in a grand way.  Devotees gathered in the early morning on the divine ground of the Bhakti Mandir and Guru Mandir as our three Presidents, H.H. Sushri Dr. Vishakha Tripathi Ji, H.H. Sushri Dr. Shyama Tripathi Ji and H.H. Sushri Dr. Krishna Tripathi Ji showered one and all with flower petals of roses and marigolds of various hues and colours.  This was followed by showers from water jets spraying rose water on all devotees.  Everyone was soaked to the skin and had a spiritually charged devotional experience of their lifetimes.

Chandan tika was also applied on the foreheads of each one by our beloved Didis to commemorate this occasion. Being adorned with Chandan Tika during Holi evoked feelings of joy, gratitude, and spiritual fulfilment among devotees, enhancing their celebration of the festival.  Devotees were overjoyed by this traditional ritual.

Over 2 days, 127 patients were given vision saving surgeries at Jagadguru Kripalu Chikitsalaya Mangarh, Pratapgarh.  Dr Vaijwade and Dr Lapam performed the cataract surgeries.  Although eye surgeries are performed regularly at our JKC hospitals, this was planned so that the two doctors can focus on the many cases at once to help as many patients as possible.

Most patients were older and came from financially challenged parts of society.  This important charitable endeavour is very critical for their lives as otherwise with blurry vision they are unable to take care of themselves.

A large-scale charitable distribution took place on 28 March 2024 at Shri Kripalu Dham as 7000 children were given important summer necessities such as soaps, bucket, towel, jug, glass etc.  During the summer these are important items for children to use to have a bath with the soaps, bucket and towel.  Many of these children live in very unhygienic environments and these items prove to be useful in ensuring they keep clean and healthy.

The Presidents of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat, personally choose the items to be given out for all distributions.  They were seen also guiding the sadhaks and themselves helped to give the items to the children.  Through this, they are continuously reminding us of Shri Maharaj Ji’s practices and teachings through their example.

We end our March report with a beautiful quote by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj.

नर तनु भववारिधि कहँ बेरो ।
सनमुख मरुत अनुग्रह मेरो ।
कर्णधार सद्गुरु दृढ़ नावा ।
दुर्लभ साज सुलभ करि पावा ॥

(Ramayana)

“The human form is a veritable raft to take one across the ocean of material existence. God’s grace is the favourable wind, and a worthy preceptor is the helmsman to steer this mighty raft. This combination, which though difficult to secure, has been made easily available.”
