Discovering the True Mother on Mother’s Day

Shri Maharaj Ji’s Message on the occasion of Mother’s Day

Radharani alone is everyone’s mother. Therefore the true meaning of celebrating Mother’s Day is to accept Radharani as your mother. Accept this from your heart. So once we come to know it and accept it with full faith that Radharani alone is our soul’s mother, then we will not accept this temporary world as ours.

We should cry out to our real mother and ask her for her love only. That’s all we have to do. We should not ask for anything else. We should accept her as our true mother. After that, what we need, when we need, how to fulfil that need, all these, she will do it by herself.

You see in the world, when a baby is born, the mother takes care of every need of that baby. The baby does not think, say or indicate anything. Granted, this is so because the baby is helpless and ignorant.

Either an ignorant person or someone who has attained complete true knowledge will accept that God alone is mine. And when he accepts this, God will take care of him and he will be completely content.

This should be the true meaning behind celebrating Mother’s Day. All glories to Radharani, our one and only mother.

(Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj has composed this beautiful kirtan glorifying Shri Radha Rani, our true mother, on the occasion of Mother’s Day in Mussoorie)

O Radha Rani!
I accept that I am very bad, but I still belong to You. After all, who can ever become good, without you imparting your Grace upon them.

O Radha Rani!
All your children are so good and pure. Just include me, the bad child to this lot, and take me along, as your child, as well.

(If out of 100 fake coins, there is one real coin, then all will be considered fake. Similarly, if there are 100 real coins and 1 fake one between them, then the fake coin can also pass off as a real one)

O Radha Rani!
You are everything to me, my ultimate goal, You have thoroughly pervaded my mind.

O Radha Rani!
Your own creation, the Vedas themselves state, that You are mine and I am yours!

O Radha Rani!
All my past lives have been wasted because I have not attained You. Now please help me to carve a better future for myself, so that I may attain You.

O Radha Rani!
When a child is born in the world, he does not even recognise his own mother. The mother has to tell the child that she is the mother of the child.

(When a child is born, he does not even know how to say ‘Mummy’, as he does not recognise his mother. The mother works very hard to let the child know of this fact. She feeds him milk, nurtures him, loves him, showers him with kisses, for months on end and only then does the child recognise her as his mother. So, mother Radha Rani, in the same way, it is your duty to make me realise that you are my mother, so that I can love You. Otherwise, how do I know who my true mother is?)

O Radha Rani!
You are totally beyond my material intellect, then please tell me how is it even possible for me to know You with my material intellect?

O Radha Rani!
It’s your own Maya power, which is your servant, that has eluded me and made me forget you, so please just chastise Maya once and make her leave me. If You look at Maya sternly, and order her to leave me, then my work will be done and I will achieve my eternal goal!

O Radha Rani!
You reside in each and every soul’s heart. I am not asking you to come from your abode, Golok. I am just asking you for a simple favour; to step out of my heart (where you already reside) and give me a glimpse of your Divine form once.

O Radha Rani,
Give me a boon that I should cry for You, day and night, while chanting your Divine name.
